Zenfone Max Pro M2 Review: Design and Built Quality
In Zenfone Max Pro M2, you get a better design than its last partner Pro M1. Asus has given priority to 3D glass design, leaving the plastic or metal body here. Apart from the previous generation, Max Pro M2 gives you glossy glass back, which is raised in a little bit, which provides better grip in addition to looking good. Camera setup in Zenfone Max Pro M2 has changed a bit since the last time. On this, you have been given a 5MP depth sensor with a 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor. The primary camera is provided with f / 1.8 aperture and 6P lens. Asus has facilitated 4K recordings in addition to better and faster focus features under the PDAF here.
The camera application looks a bit different, but you get to see a bit better than the previous device. In the camera application, there are still modes like Night, Sports, besides the Auto HDR.
In-camera performance, you get better results than before. In the good light, the camera receives an image with accurate colour and good detail, but metering sometimes appears to be difficult. Portrait mode gives 50-50 results here but this is the story of almost every smartphone of this price.
Asus has also enhanced the pixel count in the selfie camera. Here is the 12MP Sony IMX486 sensor which is capable of providing better photos with f / 2.0 aperture and 1.12-micron pixel size. The image taken from the phone can also be quite correct.
Altogether, Zenfone Max Pro M2 does not have the best camera for this price, but performance can be good.
